Ah, the age-old question of “How much will it cost?”. And we can only counter it with the equally well-worn response of “It depends”.

Although we have a proven process at the core of our service, the application is tailored for every client. So, no two prices are the same.

But we know you need an idea of the potential costs to see if we will be within your budget. So here are some real-life examples of how it worked for other companies.

Upgrade your automation package when you need more

Flexibility is the key when it comes to Meritec’s service offering. Our package bundles are designed to take you on an automation journey and we will always advise you on the most economical package as you add more workflows. We don’t tie you into long-term agreements, it is literally a monthly fee for as long as you want that automated workflow in use.

Flexible payments can significantly reduce payback period

Our whole ethos is around making business process automation affordable to SMEs. However, although we are happy to operate on a monthly pay-as-you-grow basis, we also offer discounted prices for longer term commitments for 6-month to 24-months (payable in advance) which means that return on investment can be achieved much quicker.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which package is right for my business?

At this stage we wouldn’t expect you to know. Once you have got to stage 3 (Quick Wins Quotation) you can decide on how many flows you want to automate and which package may be right for you.

Is the set-up fee incurred at the start of every new process flow?

Yes. There is a set up fee incurred every time a new flow is configured for your organisation.

Do I/my staff need to be good with technology to be able to set this up?

No. We understand that most SME business owners are not necessarily technologically minded. We have built our platform upon a simple user-friendly interface which is very intuitive to use. We do all of the technical stuff off-site. If you can use a mobile phone and a laptop comfortably, you will be fine.

Is there a contract and, if so, how long am I committed for?

No. There is no minimum term you need to sign-up for, it is a monthly retainer fee to continue to use the workflow platform. However, there is the option to commit for a longer period and bring down your investment cost by paying in one lump sum for a fixed period.

How many potential processes or workflows will there be within my business that can be automated?

Every business is different so at this stage it is impossible to say. However, most businesses are surprised how many workflows can be automated and how much time and money they can save. It will all be documented in your automation road map audit..

I am interested to learn more but not sure that I am ready to commit to undertaking an automation project?

That is fine. Get in contact with us and initially we can just have a chat and potentially set up a free no obligation discovery meeting (up to 60 mins) where we can learn more about your business, suggest some areas that could benefit from automation and give you an idea of costs involved. When you are ready to take things forward, we would do a much deeper dive to understand your business and then map-out a full roadmap audit..

How do I calculate my payback period in order to make a decision?

We actually help you do this as part of our process. It is based around weekly/monthly time savings across a number of tasks calculated as a multiple of the hourly rate of the individuals involved. It is often really surprising how quick a ROI payback can be achieved (in addition to the other benefits of automation).

Is this process more expensive that an off-the-shelf business automation software solution?

No, actually we think it is far more commercially viable with a minimal capex spend. Firstly we only build what you need, so you are not paying for lots of functionality that is not relevant to your business. Every workflow is specifically configured to your organisational need. Also, unlike many software-led solutions, we do not charge per user. This means if the time and money savings automation provides enables you to grow, you won’t be experiencing escalating software costs.

Am I likely to face internal resistance from staff who are stuck in their habitual routines of doing things their way?

We find that most staff actually embrace the new systems as they are simpler and negate the mundane tasks meaning they can focus more time on the more engaging tasks that add greater value to the business. If they are good, committed employees who want to see the business thrive – they can easily see the impact Automate has..

Once a workflow is in place are you available for support?

Yes, the monthly fee covers the workflow licence and necessary support. We are available whenever you need us. After all, the quicker you see the benefit of that automated workflow, the more likely you are to automate other areas of the business.

How long will a workflow take to be implemented?

This will largely depend on the complexity of the workflow and integrations, but typically we would expect a project to take no longer than 3-4 weeks.
